§ 48-14.012. Hearing officer.

  • Hearings conducted pursuant to this chapter shall be conducted before a hearing officer designated by the county administrator. The hearing officer may issue subpoenas for the production of documents and/or attendance of witnesses. The hearing officer shall determine whether oral evidence at the hearing shall be recorded by a court reporter at county expense. At the conclusion of said hearing, the hearing officer shall promptly prepare a written summary of the evidence and proposed findings and conclusions for consideration by the permit officer.
