§ 58-4.234. Interpretation of franchise terms.

(1)

The provisions of this division and any franchise agreement shall be liberally construed in order to effectuate the purposes and objectives of this division and the franchise agreement and to promote the public interest.

(2)

Subject to federal law or regulation, a franchise agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of California.
