Contra Costa County, the Crockett-Carquinez Fire Protection District, and the Contra
Costa County Fire Protection District hereby adopt the 2016 California Fire Code (California
Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part, 9 [based on the 2015 International Fire Code
published by the International Code Council]), including Chapters 1—10 and 12—80, Appendix B, Appendix C, Appendix D, Appendix F, Appendix H, Appendix I, Appendix
J, and Appendix K, as amended by the changes, additions, and deletions set forth in
this ordinance. The 2016 California Fire Code, with the changes, additions, and deletions
set forth this ordinance, is adopted by this reference as though fully set forth in
this ordinance. As of the effective date of the ordinance from which this chapter
is derived, the provisions of the fire code are controlling and enforceable within
the limits of each jurisdiction.
